Upholstery Class - Bring Your Own Chair

Do you have a chair that really needs a makeover, and you've been wanting to learn how to do it yourself?  Well, it is finally happening - Due to popular demand we're holding an upholstery class!

We were going to post all the info on Friday, but we've been receiving lots of emails with lots of questions, so we thought we'd post the info today...

What:  Bring Your Own Chair, Reupholstery Class

Date:  Saturday October 20th and Sunday 21st, 2012

Time:  10:00am - 4:00pm both days

Price:  $325 + HST

How:  Email us at info@switchstudio.ca to register and book the class

Bring your own chair to Switch Studio {located in Oakville}, and we'll teach you how to reupholster it during a super fun two day workshop!  We ask that you bring your own lunch, and we will provide cookies for an afternoon snack from Elm Hill Cookies - Yum!  Class size is very small, as our shop is tiny, and it will be first come first serve, so book fast.  Registering and paying for the class will get you in.  All chairs must have a tight seat and back {meaning no cushions, much like the chair above, but other styles will work too}, and must be simple enough for a beginner to complete over a weekend.  Please submit your chair for approval at least one week before class starts.  You may purchase fabric here, or you may provide your own, but we highly recommend that you make an appointment to discuss fabric selection before purchasing anything - You're going to work hard on your chair, and you will want it to last!  The price will include a mini presentation about upholstery, a handout for you to take with you, roughly 10 hours of hand on instruction time, all the materials you will need to complete the job, and of course the Elm Hill Cookies.  By the end of the weekend you will have your own gorgeous reupholstered chair that you {and everyone else} will be sure to adore for many years to come, wealth of upholstery knowledge, and some great memories!

If you have any questions, please email us at info@switchstudio.ca - Hope to see you {and a friend or two} in class!
